Our History
The Grove Park Junior Golf Clinic Inc., founded in 1988, is an outgrowth from caddies who worked or caddied for golfers who played golf at Jackson Country Club, Continental Country Club, Sonny Guy Golf Club and Grove Park Golf Course. These caddies taught others caddies how to caddy and to play the game. From these caddies’ teachings, we have professional golfers and caddies, golf course supervisors (golf pros), amateur golfers, and recreational golfers.
This website was designed to bring attention to the need for exposing our young people-- male and female--to the fundamental techniques of golfing. Grove Park Junior Golf Clinic's purpose is to educate our youth, to aid them in the development of the nine core characteristic traits - honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, confidence, respect, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and sound judgment that is included in the game of golf.
